2023年12月2日下午，「讀懂中國」國際會議關於深化務實合作，高質量共建「一帶一路」的研討會於廣州市越秀國際會議中心502C舉行。與會嘉賓一共12位，有4位主講嘉賓，中國經濟體製改革研究會會長、國家發改改革委原副主任彭森，巴基斯坦參議院國防委員會主席、巴中學會主席穆沙希德·侯賽因·賽義德，中國社會科學院世界經濟與政治研究所所長、中國社會科學院學部委員張宇燕，巴基斯坦「讀懂中國」論壇理事長、中巴經濟走廊巴基斯坦前特使紮法爾·烏丁·馬赫默德；以及8位對話嘉賓。

張宇燕先生認為，"一帶一路"建設一共給蘊含三個理念，第一個理念是要通過"一帶一路"建設來推動建設開放型世界經濟；第二個理念是要實現共同富裕，實現人類命運共同體建設的目標；第三個理念是為了共同發展，追求的是大多數的成功，不是小部分的勝利。
穆沙希德·侯賽因·賽義德先生談到，我們正在經歷三個主要的變化，全球的經濟中心、政治中心、文化中心正在從西方轉向東方的變化；南半球發展中國家反對剝奪民主的意識越來越強的變化；美國和部分西方國家對中國發起冷戰的欲望愈發強烈。但在中國歷史上的偉人，都是為促進國與國之間互通和合作作出巨大貢獻的，這是和西方的霸權主義完全不同的。 本文来自Kaixin100
孫延明校長分享了實驗室近期做的兩件事，第一件事是在廣州做一個全球的海上絲綢之路的數字博物館，以及明年要做一個廣州十三行外銷工藝品數字文獻與珍品海外巡展，巡展的國家包括歐洲和東亞一些國家，讓更多的外國友人，讓更多的"一帶一路"國家能夠了解中國的古代文化。

During the seminar, all the guests expressed their insights from various aspects on "Deepening practical cooperation and high-quality joint construction of the ‘Belt and Road’".
