Today (1 October 2026), Ms. Lalida Peritwiwattana, Deputy Government Spokesperson, announced that the “Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40) (Additional)” scheme opens for public use starting October 1, 2026. She emphasized the participation procedures for both citizens and merchants, noting that eligible individuals and approved merchants need only accept the scheme's rules and conditions once to participate; there is no need to confirm again each time the benefit is used or a payment is received.
Ms. Lalida further explained that eligible citizens should access the “Pao Tang” application, update it to the latest version, and activate the G-Wallet. They should then tap the “Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40) (Additional)” banner, accept the rules and conditions, and confirm their registration to receive the benefits. The period for this process is October 1–15, 2026, with benefits usable from October 1 to November 30, 2026 (between 06:00 and 23:00). Users must top up their G-Wallet before they can begin using the benefits.
Merchants approved to join the scheme should download or update the "Tung Ngern" application to the latest version. They must then tap the "Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40) (Additional)" banner within the app and accept the scheme's terms and conditions. Merchants can complete this step between October 1 and November 30, 2026 (06:00–23:00). Once completed, they can accept payments for goods and services from the public in accordance with the scheme's rules.
Ms. Lalida added that beneficiaries holding State Welfare Cards do not need to confirm their participation or accept additional terms. Eligible cardholders will automatically receive the allocated credit on their cards and can spend it according to the specific categories and conditions of the allowance such as the 300-baht monthly allowance for purchasing goods at "Thong Fah" (Blue Flag) shops.
"I would like the public to clearly distinguish between the procedures: users accessing benefits via the 'Pao Tang' app must confirm their participation between October 1 and 15, 2026. Meanwhile, approved merchants can accept the terms via the 'Tung Ngern' app from October 1 to November 30. In both cases, a single action is sufficient to join the scheme. Eligible State Welfare Cardholders, however, do not need to take any further action." "The credit limit will be credited to the card in accordance with entitlements," said Ms. Lalida.
