NBII honors global changemakers from three continents at ICNWP 2026

Today （19 June 2026), the Nation-Building International Institute (NBII) presented a series of prestigious international awards to distinguished individuals and organizations whose remarkable contributions have advanced society, nation-building, and the global community. The awards ceremony was held during The 10th International Convention on Nation-Building, Wellness, and Peace upon Morality (ICNWP 2026), with the objective of honoring those who have dedicated themselves to creating positive change and serving as exemplary models of sustainable development at both national and international levels.

In the youth category, the Nation-Building Youth's Award 2026 was presented to Ms. Samaira Mehta, an inspiring young entrepreneur from the United States and India. As the Founder and CEO of CoderBunnyz and CoderMindz, she began her journey in coding education at the age of seven, developing CoderMindz as the world’s first artificial intelligence (AI) board game and launching the global initiative, “Yes, One Billion Kids Can Code.” Concurrently, the Corporate Nation-Building Award (Public Sector) 2026 was conferred upon Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-Water). The Republic of Korea’s state-owned enterprise oversees 71 dams and integrated water systems, supplying clean water to more than 15 million people using its K-HIT real-time monitoring system and Smart Water Management framework.

For lifelong public service, the Nation-Building Senior's Award 2026 was presented to Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation. Having served as a close royal aide to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great for more than 35 years, the 87-year-old leader continues to work tirelessly to advance national development, carry forward the late King's development philosophy, and inspire future generations through unwavering integrity.

Meanwhile, the World Shifter Award 2026 was awarded to Prof. Martin Green, widely recognized as the “Father of Modern Photovoltaics,” whose pioneering research transformed solar power from a costly alternative into one of the most affordable electricity sources worldwide. Following this, the convention organizers and relevant parliamentary committees will continue to promote and support these global change-making initiatives, emphasizing the vital message to the global community that nation-building can begin with a single person dedicated to the common good.
