The government is rolling out another 50 billion baht in home loans! The Cabinet has greenlit the "Kon La Lang Plus" or A Home for Everyone Plus mortgage scheme, offered by the Government Housing Bank or GHB, to help low- to middle-income earners achieve their dream of homeownership.

This initiative is comprehensive: it covers homes or condominium units priced up to 3 million baht, with a maximum loan amount of 3 million baht per person. Borrowers can enjoy long-term repayment periods of up to 40 years, along with special, lower interest rates during the initial phase. The scheme applies to purchasing houses or condos, building new homes, buying land for construction, and even acquiring residences on state-owned land, provided specific conditions are met. The government expects this measure not only to help people secure homes but also to revitalize the real estate market, boost the construction and building materials sectors, and stimulate employment.

While this is a great opportunity to own a home, it is essential to carefully plan your finances to ensure you can manage the debt throughout the entire term of the loan. “SAPM News cheers the government on we hope to see more excellent initiatives like this for the benefit of the Thai people”
