Today (19 February 2026), at the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) headquarters, Lt. Gen. Thanathip Sawangsang, Spokesman and Director of the Civil Affairs and Information Office, stated that in its 18th year, ISOC is restructuring its operations to better integrate with government agencies and local communities. The goal is to achieve unity in addressing the southern insurgency, particularly through intelligence sharing and fostering understanding within local religious schools. He added that the Prime Minister, in his capacity as Director of ISOC, has mandated closer coordination between central and regional offices to align policy with field operations.

Furthermore, Lt. Gen. Thanathip addressed strategies to combat insurgents and cross-border criminals who exploit natural pathways along the Thai-Malaysian border. He emphasized increased patrol frequencies and the reinforcement of border barriers, specifically in Sungai Kolok District and along the Kolok River. These fortified fences, equipped with CCTV surveillance, are reportedly 80% complete.
