Today (19 March) 8:20 AM at the Parliament, Dr. Warong Dechgitvigrom, a list MP and leader of the Thai Bhakdi Party, gave an interview before the parliamentary vote for the Prime Minister. He stated that, out of courtesy for the opposition, he intends to abstain from voting, but he might change his mind if an interesting situation arises. However, he always intends to abstain when asked.
When asked if he had planned this for a long time, Dr. Warong said that he has experience; if the government's actions are not harmful, abstaining is acceptable, except for major issues that would be beneficial to the country, in which case support should be given. But initially, he intends to abstain.

When asked further whether the assembly would allow for a debate on the qualifications of the prime minister candidates, Dr. Warong said that yesterday (18 March) the Coordinating Committee of Opposition Parties in the House of Representatives (Opposition Whip) contacted him, and he learned that each side would be allocated one hour. He believes the Chief Whip has informed him that he will be allocated 5 minutes.
