Today (16 April 2026) 2:10 PM at Government House, Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa stated that he submitted his resignation as a Bhumjaithai Party list MP. He explained that this was due to the government's policy statement being completed in parliament and that he will be able to fully dedicate himself to his role as minister of industry.
Reporters noted that following Mr. Varawut's resignation as a list MP, a replacement list candidate had to be appointed. The Bhumjaithai Party, ranked 22nd, has a new MP, Mr. Pibul Ratchakitprakarn, the younger brother of Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport.
