Today (April 21, 2026) at 9:40 AM, at Government House, Ms. Supajee Suthamphan stated regarding measures to assist citizens with the cost of living that the matter has not yet been submitted to the Cabinet for consideration. However, she has discussed with the Ministry of Interior to determine a plan for distributing affordable consumer goods nationwide through various channels in coordination with the Department of Provincial Administration. It is expected that goods will be distributed to approximately 800 districts across the country, utilizing Thailand Post's network as a distribution point. Community markets will also be organized to allow agricultural and community products to reach consumers directly, and mobile vendors will be deployed to reach remote areas or those with limited travel convenience.

Ms. Supajee added that regarding the role of the Village Fund, there is a plan to incorporate Village Fund stores as an additional distribution channel. While the initial phase of the program, which began on April 1, 2026, included over 3,000 items—both house brands and alternative products from major manufacturers and wholesalers/retailers—focusing on affordable consumer goods, the Ministry of Commerce is simultaneously preparing to open registration for SME and community product entrepreneurs to join online platforms to expand sales channels. This will initially involve collaboration with five platforms: Thailand Postmart, Next Gen, TikTok, Shopee, and LINE, with approximately 2,000 SME products selected for sale without GP fees.

Ms. Supajee further stated that there are also measures to support transportation costs to reduce expenses and increase income for riders, as well as distributing 500,000 discount coupons worth 100 baht each to stimulate purchases and promote marketing through KOLs and influencers to increase sales opportunities. Regarding whether product distribution to the district level has begun, she indicated that this is currently underway and part of ongoing negotiations. It is expected to begin by May 1, 2026, but this cannot be confirmed yet as the system needs to be prepared nationwide.
