Today (30 April 2026), 10:00 AM, at the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC), General Chaiyapruk Duangprapat, Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Army and Secretary-General of ISOC, presided over the event to distribute relief supplies to alleviate the cost of living for the public. Since 7:30 AM, people from various areas of Bangkok have continuously arrived to register and receive supplies amidst the assistance of officials and volunteer networks. The distribution system was organized to be orderly, rapid, and comprehensive, appropriately meeting the needs of each group.

Simultaneously, Lieutenant General Thanathip Sawangsang, Director of the Public Relations and Information Office of ISOC, oversaw and coordinated the overall operation, integrating cooperation with government agencies, the private sector, and the public to ensure unified and effective implementation. This project is in response to the policy of Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, in his capacity as Director of ISOC, who aims to accelerate cooperation from all sectors to alleviate the burden of the cost of living for the public in the short term. At the same time, the international conflict situation that has resulted in continuously rising energy prices has pressured economic costs in many sectors and directly reflected in the daily expenses of the public. Therefore, ISOC is accelerating proactive approaches at the local level to ensure that assistance reaches those truly affected.

For this operation, 1,000 sets of essential goods were prepared for distribution to the public through integrated support from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation, along with a network of civil society organizations, including the Thai Sikh Association, the Thai-Indian Business Association for Internal Security (Thailand), the Executive Security Network Development Association (ESNDA), the Thai Volunteer National Defense Foundation (TVNDF), and TVNDF volunteers, who provided strong support in terms of resources and manpower.

In addition, the Army Transportation Department provided four vehicles to enhance the efficiency of transporting and distributing supplies to target areas. Simultaneously, 40 delivery vehicles were engaged to help deliver supplies to bedridden patients, the elderly, and those unable to travel to receive them themselves. A pilot program was established in five districts of Bangkok: Chatuchak, Dusit, Bang Sue, Phra Nakhon, and Khlong Toei. A local screening process was used to target vulnerable groups directly and reduce duplication of assistance.

Following the donation ceremony, the chairman signaled the start of the distribution process to various areas before taking a group photo with supporters and relevant agencies, reflecting the power of collaboration across all sectors in caring for citizens facing rising living costs. ISOC reaffirms its commitment as a key mechanism for coordinating cooperation from all sectors to alleviate financial burdens and strengthen grassroots stability. The public is invited to share kindness by filling "Sharing Cabinets" with essential items to build a society of mutual support and ensure a high quality of life, enabling them to overcome the current economic situation in a stable and sustainable manner.

Following the event, General Chaiyapruk Duangprapat told the media that today's activities were held in every province where ISOC is able to operate. These activities were a collaborative effort from Thai citizens who donated their resources to ISOC for distribution to less fortunate individuals, such as bedridden patients or communities facing economic hardship due to rising fuel prices and the corresponding increases in the cost of consumer goods. He added that ISOC will do its utmost to support the cause.

A reporter asked if ISOC would continue its activities if oil prices remained high for the next three months. General Chaiyapruk replied that they would have to reassess the situation, but they already have activities in place to address such issues. He added that the roots of Thailand's cultural beauty are about mutual assistance and care. He noted that many countries, unlike Thailand, have faced crises where people helped each other, such as setting up field kitchens and distributing supplies. Thai people have always helped each other in any way they could. Therefore, ISOC wishes to be another organization that extends this goodwill to Thai society.
