Today (Oct 19, 2026) at 1:00 PM at the People's Party headquarters, Mr. Rangsiman Rome, party-list MP and deputy leader of the People's Party, gave an interview regarding the case where Mr. Paradorn Prisnanantakul, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office, mentioned the framework for the no-confidence debate. He stated that he has not yet spoken with Mr. Paradorn on this matter. However, the approach for discussions regarding the number of days and time must go through the three-party whip mechanism—comprising the government whip, the Cabinet, and the opposition—which will hold joint meetings. A schedule cannot be proposed unilaterally because the opposition submitted the motion; thus, it cannot take government convenience as the main basis, as it is parliamentary business. As for government convenience, that should be brought up for discussion. The key premise is that as many as 18 ministers are facing censure, and the opposition has prepared a large number of debaters, making this one of the largest turnouts in terms of both time and debater numbers, requiring proper management.

Mr. Rangsiman emphasized that this motion belongs to Parliament, submitted by the opposition's signatures, so the submitters must be respected. The appropriate timeframe to cover all 18 ministers should be 5 days. If the government offers only 3 days, it shows they are starting to feel unsafe, insecure, and worried that giving the opposition substantial time could impact the government. He expressed that he does not want to see such behavior. Even if there are disagreements on many matters, the bare minimum is to communicate first, rather than forcing or strong-arming, which is no different from dodging opposition scrutiny.

Regarding the readiness of the debater lineup, Mr. Rangsiman stated that a substantial team has been prepared for a full-scale debate. He acknowledged that some debate information might have been seen before while some is new. He is confident that both sets of information can hold politicians accountable—whether ministers or government figures—if the country's legal system operates normally, hoping that government administration must rely on the trust of Parliament.

Furthermore, he appealed to the moral conscience of all fellow MPs, raising the question of whether, under current national circumstances, everyone will truly let the "Blue Regime" monopolize or exercise power arrogantly without regard for the rule of law, the economy, national administration, or the public, while systematically focusing solely on their own network and allies.

Mr. Rangsiman added that what he wants everyone to see in this debate is that Thailand can no longer endure it. The opposition has prepared various pieces of evidence and information, asking only for a fraction of goodness in MPs' hearts to recognize and understand the suffering and problems currently happening, noting that the opposition has been preparing for quite a while.

In any case, the opposition will certainly reveal the overall picture, confirming that today's process has been well-prepared with confidence in the evidence. Furthermore, each minister will be debated for varying amounts of time, as some have numerous issues that need to be resolved and discussed.

When asked about the unequal debate times allocated for each minister, Mr. Rangsiman said this is also something Mr. Paradorn must consider. If the time is rushed or squeezed, will there be any time left for the government to clarify? This demonstrates that the government does not care about explaining because it relies on sufficient votes, big backing, and existing power. If they think only this much without caring about the rule of law, justice, or correctness, will we really let politicians like this continue performing their duties?

Regarding analysis on whether the "Senate collusion" issue will be used as the main topic, Mr. Rangsiman noted that he will not confirm at this point which topics will be raised. However, he believes anyone reading the motion and seeing the issues will likely figure out the key points, several of which definitely concern national hardship.

When asked about analysis indicating the debate will target Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, as he is the cherished heart of Bhumjaithai Party's spiritual leader, Mr. Rangsiman asked back whether he is a cherished heart or a baby bird in a nest needing protection. Ultimately, targeting does not depend on the opposition's preference, but on the evidence.

Mr. Rangsiman affirmed that the debate style will not rely on empty rhetoric, but on bringing forward concrete evidence. They are thinking beyond a single step to post-debate proceedings if fellow MPs in Parliament do not provide enough support, though he hopes fellow MPs will use a spark of moral conscience to make the best judgment.

Regarding time allocation for each debater or party, Mr. Rangsiman stated it depends on the overall time received. He disclosed that many individuals have submitted intentions to debate, but this remains an internal party process that will not be disclosed at this time. He affirmed that preparations are meticulous, no different from previous eras, and everything is grounded in data and evidence.
