Today (20 October 2026) at 9:00 AM at Government House, Mr. Songsak Thongsri, Deputy Prime Minister, spoke about the preparations for holding the mobile cabinet meeting in the northeastern region, Udon Thani province, covering the upper northeastern provincial group, scheduled for November 3.

He stated that preparations are currently underway regarding both venues and coordination with the provincial group, with several ready locations including Rajabhat University and private sector facilities such as Manthatip Hall and the Udon Thani International Convention and Exhibition Center.

For this meeting, the relevant provincial groups—namely Udon Thani, Bueng Kan, Nong Khai, Nong Bua Lam Phu, and Loei—will be given the opportunity to discuss issues and needs of each area to propose solutions for cabinet consideration, with main focus on the agricultural sector and drug problem resolution.

Regarding proposals for large-scale projects seeking budget support, Mr. Songsak indicated that initial proposals have already been submitted and a meeting will be held with Mrs. Supajee Suthumpun, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, within this week to review the details of various projects.

However, there is currently no clear budget framework specifying the maximum amount each province can propose, or whether a budget allocation of 100 million baht per province will be applied as rumored, as it is necessary to consider necessity, suitability, benefits to the public, and existing budget frameworks.

Mr. Songsak also mentioned that the government aims to make the mobile cabinet meeting yield concrete results, particularly in problem-solving and local economic stimulus. On November 2, there will be the opening ceremony of the Udon Thani International Horticultural Exposition, where Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, will preside over the opening and intends to invite the cabinet to attend before holding the mobile cabinet meeting the following day.
