Cabinet approves appointment and rotation of 3 senior executive officials at Ministry of Education

Today (20 October 2026) at 2:00 PM at Government House, Captain Dr. Pattarasmi Thongsaluaykorn, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the Cabinet approved the appointment of civil servants under the Ministry of Education to senior executive positions to fill vacancies and reshuffle duties, totaling 3 positions as follows:

Mr. Pichet Wantong, from Inspector General, Office of the Permanent Secretary, to Secretary-General of the Office of the Teacher Civil Service and Educational Personnel Commission (OTEPC), Office of the Permanent Secretary (replacing Mr. Thanu Khwandech).

Mr. Supachai Janpoom, from Deputy Secretary-General of the Education Council, Office of the Education Council (OEC), to Deputy Secretary-General of the Basic Education Commission, Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) (replacing Mr. Wisanu Subsomboon/Subsombut).

Mr. Wisanu Subsomboon (Subsombut), from Deputy Secretary-General of the Basic Education Commission, Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), to Deputy Secretary-General of the Education Council, Office of the Education Council (OEC) (replacing Mr. Supachai Janpoom). This will take effect from the date of the Royal Command's official appointment onward.
