Nalinee, Deputy Governor for Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), highlighted that Thailand currently has 79 industrial estates and the country’s largest deep-sea port to accommodate global investors. She noted that the past three years have set a record in land utilization, driven in large part by Chinese investors. “Over 7,000 rai of land were developed in the past three years, a new high record. Chinese investors are key drivers of Thailand’s economy, bringing strong decision-making capacity and advanced technology,” she said, stressing that IEAT has streamlined its processes to make investment faster and more convenient.

Chawalit Tippawanich, CEO of Amata Corporation, said the group is advancing smart city projects in Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos, with sustainability as its guiding principle. He expressed confidence in Thailand’s economic prospects despite recent slow growth. “Although Thailand’s economy has grown at only 223% in recent years, we now see signs of recovery, especially in the stock market and tourism. Combined with consistent government support, this will help Thailand’s economy grow beyond its past average,” he stated. Chawalit also viewed the Expo as “a promising sign” that would attract more investors, particularly from China.

Wanasiri Laosirichon, Executive of SeaValue Group, a major seafood processor and exporter, acknowledged that global economic uncertainties and the U.S.-China trade war have created significant challenges. “We must diversify our markets and cut costs to ensure sustainable growth,” she said. With Thailand’s strong reputation in food safety, the company aims to expand canned seafood and pet food exports worldwide. She added that the Expo offered a valuable chance to explore Thai-Chinese supply chains and highlighted the Education Zone as a platform providing scholarships and career opportunities for Thai youth in China.

In logistics and technology, Ranond Tanthuwanit, General Manager of RCL Logistics, pointed out that the company operates more than 50 container vessels, expanding routes from Asia to Latin America. “Our business is directly tied to the global economy. When trade slows, shipments fall, but we continue to seek new markets to grow,” he said. Meanwhile, a representative from H3C Thailand, a Chinese IT solutions provider, showcased new products designed for the SMB market in Thailand, including servers and network systems. “We want to strengthen brand recognition in Thailand and invite Thai and Chinese businesses to explore our solutions,” the company noted.

The Thailand-China Cooperation Expo 2025 not only celebrated five decades of bilateral friendship but also served as a platform to connect investors, entrepreneurs, and academic institutions from both nations. By fostering new networks and collaborations, the event underscored the potential for Thailand and China to drive sustainable economic growth together in the years ahead.
