On October 15, 2025, the Parliament convened to consider the 3 drafts of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand aimed at amending Section 256 and adding Chapter 15/1 on the drafting of a new Constitution. Proposed by the People's Party by Parit Watcharasindhu, a People's Party MP from the party list, Bhumjaithai Party by Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Pheu Thai Party by Mr. Chusak Sirinil and party-list.
During the meeting address the concepts of the People’s Party and Bhumjaithai Parties modified constitutional drafts. However, the Pheu Thai Party's principles, which was less than one-third of the total, resulted in the House's refusal to accept the principles on the first reading. The Pheu Thai Party announced the statement that, while the Senate rejected the Pheu Thai Party's draft, the intent of the constitutional change must be maintained. They also voted for the People's Party's proposal as the principal document, upholding the notion that the Constituent Assembly is answerable to the people.
Mr. Wan Muhamad Noor Matha, Speaker of the Parliament declared that the House has decided to choose between the PeopleParty's and the Bhumjaithai Party's drafts as the principal drafts for committee consideration. The parliamentary voting began at about 6:00 p.m. and ended about 7:35 p.m.
