On 25 November 2025 at Government House, Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, gave an interview regarding Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul Prime Minister and Interior Minister’s remark that the public should wait for a signal on 12 December 2025.

He explained that the Prime Minister may have meant that once everything under the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) supporting the formation of the government, signed between the Bhumjaithai Party and the People’s Party, has been completed, returning power to the people would be the right course of action.

He noted that although expediting the return of power to the public is important, at present everyone must first focus on urgently solving the country’s pressing problems.

Mr. Chaichanok also responded to interpretations that the signal might point to an early dissolution of the House due to Pheu Thai’s threat of a no-confidence debate. He said he is fully prepared for any censure debate, as he has nothing to worry about, and the Prime Minister likewise has no reason for concern. Therefore, dissolving the House out of fear of a no-confidence motion is highly unlikely. However, the ultimate authority to dissolve Parliament rests with the Prime Minister.

Lastly, when asked about the possibility of dissolving Parliament in line with the original MOA timeline, 31 January 2026, Mr. Chaichanok said that all scenarios are possible. However, if the Prime Minister does decide to dissolve the House, he believes it would be because the MOA has been fully carried out and the government is ready to return power to the people.
