DDPM, in collaboration with the Departments of Groundwater Resources, Marine and Coastal Resources, Army Development Command, Metropolitan Waterworks Authority, and Songkhla Provincial Administrative Organization, mobilized personnel and volunteers to help with the area's rehabilitation. Three 10,000-liter fire trucks, garbage vehicles, and cleaning equipment were dispatched. After the floodwaters cleared out, the remaining garbage and waste in front of the Hat Yai City Municipality Office and along Phetkasem Road were cleaned up quickly.

SAP NEWS

The work was challenging due to the muddy sidewalks that had been swept away by floodwaters and remained unclaimed. However, the cleansing must continue because if left ignored for several days, the garbage may become a breeding ground for diseases. As a result, there is an urgent need for cleanliness. Additional machinery, water sprayers, and garbage trucks from other locations may be required to disseminate the waste over other cities.

SAP NEWS

This afternoon, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Anutin Charnvirakul will personally visit the area to assess the situation and join in a Big Clean Day with various sectors.
