Today (Jan27) 10:00 AM at Government House, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Captain Thammanat Phromphao, in his capacity as prime minister candidate for the Kla Tham Party, addressed his previous statement at a rally that his party would be in third place. He stated that he didn't say they would be third, but rather that they had selected candidates from 350 applicants. He explained that in politics, they must grade and filter candidates. If the selection doesn't meet the target, they will be narrowed down to over 100. He added that by February 8th, the number will be further reduced to approximately 100. If the target is met, they are ready to fight in every way.

Reporters asked if he was concerned about Ms. Rakchanok Srinok, a candidate for the People's Party list, campaigning in Phayao for only one day. And it was well received. Captain Thamanat said that wherever others go to campaign, he is hardly ever in Phayao Province because he is not running for a constituency MP; instead, Mr. Akkra Phromphao is the candidate for Phayao Constituency 1.

“We don’t give importance to anything. Don’t overestimate yourselves. Phayao Province has changed from a transit city to an economic hub. Now it’s practically a major city. Currently, there’s a planned airport, which is under study. Once completed, construction will proceed. As for Ms. Ratchanok’s statement about wanting a change, you have to ask what she wants to change. You were there for only one day. what do you know? Don’t deceive yourself.” Captain Thamanat said.
