Today (31 Jan) reporters reported that on 30 Jan , Mr. Ekasit Kunanantakul, leader of the Puangchon Thai Party and candidate number 23 on the party list, stated that the Puangchon Thai Party intends to care for the people in all provinces of Thailand, especially in Samut Prakan, his birthplace. He considers Samut Prakan a very important and large province, ranking third in annual tax revenue in the country. It boasts attractions such as Suvarnabhumi Airport, a crocodile farm, Ancient City, K-City, Bang Pu Beach, and Sawang Niwet. While well-known for its tourist attractions, the province faces recurring flooding problems, ongoing road construction and repairs on Phraeksa Road (similar to Rama II Road), and a foul-smelling landfill significantly impacting the health of its residents.
He further stated that frequent appointments and transfers of Samut Prakan governors have hindered continuity in addressing local issues. Therefore, he proposes electing a governor from the area who understands the real problems and can effectively manage the budget and develop the economy. "Creating income and improving the quality of life for the people of Samut Prakan effectively and to the fullest extent."
Mr. Ekkasit said Today all problems can be solved with the 'Samut Prakan Metropolis' model. I ask the people of Samut Prakan to work together to build our home, to push Samut Prakan to become a self-governing area, to determine its own future, to elevate it to 'Samut Prakan Metropolis,' to break free from centralized power, to elect our own governor, and to manage our tax money to the fullest benefit.
Mr. Ekkasit said “In the past, voting for the same party yielded the same results. Today is the time. I ask the Thai people to give themselves a chance and vote for a new party, the Thai People's Party, number 23, to solve the country's problems. I am confident that we can deliver immediately, that we will do it for real 100%.”
