Must win when fighting

All good things must come to an end. The Ministry of Defense held a farewell ceremony for the outgoing Minister of Defense, “Big Lek” General Natthaphol Nakpanich, former Minister of Defense, with Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, the current Minister of Defense; General Tharaphong Malakham, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense; and other Ministry officials in attendance. A heartfelt farewell with roses was exchanged.

"Big Lek" revealed that everyone asks him why he remains so cheerful despite all the criticism. He explained that he understands the situation because he hasn't told the whole truth. Some things couldn't be revealed because speaking them would damage the country and reveal Cambodian perspectives. Therefore, he accepts the criticism with understanding. He stated that to avoid criticism, one must speak the truth, but since certain things couldn't be said, the criticism was deserved. “I accept the criticism with understanding.”

"Big Lek" added, “I have always followed the principle of righteousness in resolving problems, using wisdom and intellect. Using force was a last resort. My principle is to win without fighting.
