BBC reported, US President Donald Trump will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping on May 14-15, after the trip was postponed due to the ongoing tension between the US, Israel, and Iran. Originally slated for March 31, the visit is expected to be the most important by a US leader in 10 years.

"Our Representatives are finalizing preparations for these Historic Visits, "I look very much forward to spending time with President Xi in what will be, I am sure, a Monumental Event." Trump said on Truth Social on Wednesday.

Caroline Leavitt, a White House spokeswoman, confirmed the postponement, noting that   "President Xi understood that it's very important for the president to be here throughout these combat operations right now,"

Lin Jian, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, stated that “ both sides are maintaining communication regarding President Trump's visit to China". He also stated that "leader-level diplomacy plays an irreplaceable strategic guiding role" in bilateral ties.
