Today (18 March) at the Krom Luang Chumphon Camp in Sattahip District, Chonburi Province, Admiral Pairoj Fuengchan, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, spoke about the progress in coordinating assistance for the remaining three Thai crew members of the "Mayuree Naree" ship, which was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz. He stated that the last report was two days ago from Oman, a country with good relations with the Royal Thai Navy. The Royal Thai Navy thanked the Omani Navy for continuously monitoring the Thai vessel and deploying personnel to observe the situation. However, two days ago, the Omani Navy reported that the ship had crossed the border into Iranian waters, making further tracking impossible. Nevertheless, if the ship returns to Omani waters, the Omani Navy will continue to monitor the situation. Furthermore, the matter has been reported to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has been asked to proceed with negotiations with Iran and to oversee the Thai crew.

Regarding the Royal Thai Navy's warnings, Admiral Pairoj stated that six warnings have been issued so far, reflecting the evolving situation. The Royal Thai Navy will also issue warnings to the Thai Shipowners Association. To inform subordinate units about areas of risk as warned by the military based on changing circumstances. For example, during the initial conflict, warnings were issued to avoid certain areas. Later, when information about mine warnings was received, another warning was issued. The satellite navigation system is also used to inform vessels about areas requiring caution. This is routine work for the Royal Thai Navy, similar to the Air Force's reporting of weather conditions and safe areas to airlines. However, the Royal Thai Navy is still monitoring the situation. Meanwhile, the rescue of the three crew members requires coordination with relevant countries, such as Oman or the United Arab Emirates, even though no Thai vessels are currently in UAE waters.
