Today (16 October 2026) at 12:00 PM, members of the Assembly of the Poor arrived at Asok Intersection before entering the area along Ratchadapisek Road, adjacent to the Exchange Tower.

Representatives from the Assembly of the Poor negotiated with Pol. Col. Ratthanon Aekthitikulphat, Superintendent of Thong Lor Police Station, requesting permission to occupy the area for their rally and speeches until 4:00 PM. Police and the Watthana District Office granted approval for the group to use the footpath and a stretch of the road extending approximately 150 meters from the intersection up to the steel barricades, as requested.

Additionally, police officers formally served a notice under the Public Assembly Act B.E. 2558 (2015) to inform the demonstrator group. Security arrangements included steel barricades, police riot shields, crowd control vehicles, and shipping containers positioned behind as a final perimeter defense. Over 800 uniformed and plainclothes officers were stationed across strategic points to monitor the situation and prevent any unforeseen incidents, while traffic police facilitated movement along Sukhumvit Road to keep it accessible to the public with minimal disruption.
