“Gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2026” – A World-Class Gaming Extravaganza Begins

Today (30 October 2026) at 10:00 AM at Exhibition Halls 1–4 (G Floor) of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, the highly anticipated global gaming event “gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2026” officially opened its doors.This event builds on the success of a landmark partnership between two premier international gaming events: “gamescom asia” and Thailand’s number-one gaming festival, “Thailand Game Show.”The collaboration is driven by three major partners: Koelnmesse, Show No Limit Co., Ltd., and Online Station (under True Corporation Public Company Limited), with ongoing support from the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society. The Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) serves as a key mechanism in advancing the gaming, digital content, and pop culture industries, with the ultimate goal of establishing Thailand as a proud, central hub for the gaming market in Southeast Asia.

The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Senior Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group. The event was graced by Mr. Suphachai Chearavanont, Senior Vice Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group, who delivered the opening remarks and shared his vision. Joining him was Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society (MDES), who highlighted the government’s collaborative efforts and vision. The event is themed “THE HEART OF GAMING,” reflecting the profound spirit of those within the gaming industry.

This year, the event has expanded to an unprecedented scale, occupying Exhibition Halls 1–4 on the G floor. It hosts exhibitors from 29 countries and territories across four continents, featuring 20 pavilions representing government agencies and industry delegations from 12 key markets spanning Asia, Europe, and North America. A major highlight is the “Thailand Playvilion,” a dedicated space showcasing the potential of 66 selected Thai game developers and entrepreneurs to international partners and investors, alongside exhibits of top-tier games from around the globe. The event is expected to attract over 200,000 visitors, creating a significant impact both offline and online with projected online views exceeding 3 million and 12 million impressions on Steam.

Over the course of three days, the event promises a comprehensive, high-energy entertainment experience, kicking off on the main stage... The event kicked off with a special opening ceremony featuring the annual theme song, “The Biggest Dream Revision 2026.” The performance showcased the vocals of Cherprang Areekul, accompanied by the fierce guitar work of Nene Royal, the young prodigy and champion of America's Got Talent 2026, who created a sensational “rocker meets gamer” spectacle on stage. This was followed by the presentation of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award to John Romero, the legendary co-creator of masterpieces such as DOOM and Quake, in recognition of his pioneering contributions to the global gaming industry. A host of major international game developers and publishers were in attendance, bringing with them exclusive content and the latest game demos for fans to experience firsthand. Highlights included the grand return of Riot Games, which brought two of the world’s most popular titles VALORANT and League of Legends to engage with the gaming community, alongside a strong presence from Bandai Namco Entertainment. A massive lineup of over 9 new and major titles awaits, including masterpieces from SQUARE ENIX such as FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION and FINAL FANTASY: RESONANCE. CAPCOM is bringing 6 major game demos, including Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance and Mega Man: Dual Override. The selection is further bolstered by 8 exclusive titles for the Nintendo Switch 2:

ELDEN RING Tarnished Edition, Monster Hunter Wilds, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, DAVE THE DIVER - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, and eFootball Kick-Off! The event also marks the Thai debut of “ACE” (Anime Asia Comics Content Entertainment Expo), a comprehensive pop-culture festival that brings together anime, comics, and entertainment content in one place. Furthermore, attendees will have the chance to meet top-tier streamers, content creators, and cosplayers including Zbing z., SpriteDer SPD, Oppa Hong, and Thames with a special appearance by Xiaoyukiko, who will join the fun during the OS Fanmeet and the Cosplay Contest 2026.

With over 6,000 investors in attendance marking a new record for the number of publishers present, the event drew participants from 29 countries and territories across four continents and 12 key markets, spanning Asia, Europe, and North America. Highlights included three in-depth seminar tracks featuring over 70 world-class speakers, as well as the historic “Reverse Pitch” a first for Asia where global game publishers took the stage to present their visions and connect with Thai game studios and developers. The event also featured the “Invest Circle” and “VIP XPerience” programs, supported by Xsolla. Meanwhile, the IT and gaming gear zone showcased a wide array of leading brands offering exclusive promotional deals.
