On 5 November 2026, Phra Bunsin Chotipanyo, affectionately known as “Phra Mae Thap Kung,” continued his monastic duties with steadfast dedication. Since his ordination, he has made it a daily practice to go on alms rounds and faithfully observe morning and evening chants, strictly adhering to the monastic discipline.
During his alms round this morning, Phra Bunsin encountered a layperson who frequently offers alms. He recalled that, on a previous occasion, he had noticed this individual wearing torn clothing—a detail that stirred his concern and remained in his memory.
The following day, upon meeting the same person again during his alms round, Phra Bunsin presented them with two shirts. This gesture, born from his compassionate observation, served to ease the individual’s hardship and demonstrated a heartfelt kindness toward a devotee.
This act brought smiles and left a deep impression on many who witnessed it. It serves as a touching example of generosity and compassion for one’s fellow human beings, reminding us that giving does not require items of great material value. Simply by paying attention and recognizing the hardships of others, one can bring happiness and smiles to society.
