Today (6 Feb), reporters reported that on February 5th at K City, Bang Pu New Town, Samut Prakan Province, Mr. Ekkasit Kunanantakul, leader of the Thai People's Party and prime ministerial candidate number 23, led the party's executive committee, advisors, and parliamentary candidates from both the party-list and constituency systems nationwide in a rally. The final major rally before the election was held on February 8, 2026, with a large turnout of people filling K City Park. The atmosphere was lively. Before the rally began, Mr. Anantachai Kunanantakul, the party's chief advisor, and Mrs. Urai Kunanantakul presented Mr. Ekkasit and all the Thai People's Party candidates with garlands of marigolds to boost morale and wish them victory in the upcoming election.

In his speech, Mr. Ekkasit said he was happy to speak before the people. He noted that Thailand's problems are serious, particularly insufficient wages, and that despite the people's hard work, they remain wealthy. This is one reason why the Thai People's Party exists.
Mr. Ekkasit further stated that they should work together to solve the country's problems. He explained that in the past, only a select group of politicians have become wealthy, and the frequent elections have resulted in a lack of continuity in ministerial positions and political divisions that have persisted for 20 years without benefiting anyone. He emphasized that politicians fight daily for power, and the Thai People's Party must address these issues. "The problems are unresolved, and the country's GDP is at its lowest in 10 years. Poverty remains the same.
“Today, the old political parties that have tried before have never succeeded. They only promote populist policies, handing out money every day. But is giving out money a solution? We need to solve people's debt and create jobs so they can have sustainable incomes, not just give out money to pay off financial problems. Looking to the future, if Thailand continues like this, it won't survive. Today, the Thai People's Party can't tolerate the old political parties that keep doing the same thing, and yet we keep voting for them. Thai politics is now divided into two or three factions, which I believe shouldn't be happening. We should choose new, quality political parties. As someone who has been an administrator all my life, I am ready to work and solve these problems,” said Mr. Ekkasit.

Mr. Ekkasit further stated, “Under the leadership of the Thai People's Party, today, Thai people must fight to become rich, to have better lives, and to improve the country. In the past, the more people fought, the poorer they became. What happened? Because the problem lies in corruption, which must be addressed by politicians and civil servants who misappropriate our money. Today, we must work together to prevent corruption from returning.” Everyone must keep a close eye on February 8th, 2026, and choose good people to work for us. Because whether we have opportunities or not, whether we are rich or poor, everyone is equal. We all have one vote. We must choose good people to enter parliament. We need good parties. Don't vote for the same parties that have done good things before. If they can't do it, don't vote for them again. Please try a new party. And the people who can best solve the country's problems are the people themselves, the voters who go to the polling booth and cast their ballots. That is one point that can change the country. Today, the Thai People's Party sees opportunities for everyone. We must make the country better than before. We must bring about change. We must create happiness for the Thai people and bring smiles back to their faces. On February 8th, 2026, please vote for number 23, together across the country.
Mr. Ekkasit reiterated that at today's major rally of the Thai People's Party, the slogan "Twin Hearts, Fight and Get Rich" was announced to reinforce the policies of improving the quality of life for Thai people, creating people, creating jobs, creating careers, increasing income, unlocking provincial opportunities, ending debt, ensuring graduates have jobs, and providing welfare for Thai workers, both in and outside the formal system, equally and comprehensively.

For entrepreneurs, the Thai People's Party is preparing to provide funding sources to improve liquidity. Furthermore, it prioritizes the lives of all family members with a popular policy for animal lovers: the "Gold Card for Dogs and Cats." This aims to reduce the financial burden on pet owners, of which there are over 6 million households. Currently, there are over 21 million dogs and cats nationwide. The policy emphasizes regulating pet ownership, registration, vaccination, and sterilization, creating a pet-friendly system suitable for community living, and ensuring harmonious coexistence.
