Today (6 Feb) 8:45 PM at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party and prime ministerial candidate, gave an interview regarding the immediate cancellation of the MOU2544 if he returns as prime minister. He stated that this is a policy the Bhumjaithai Party wants to implement to cancel stalled agreements and will use new rules and regulations to negotiate progress.

When asked if the Bhumjaithai Party had consulted with legal counsel, Mr. Anutin replied, "Yes."

Regarding why the MOU2544 is not being canceled, Mr. Anutin explained that there are still issues concerning border demarcation. There has been considerable progress, and the actions taken under the MOU2000 have been accepted by both sides without any conflict. Regarding the areas we have doubts about, we have largely taken control of those areas.

Furthermore, the two past clashes with Cambodia, which significantly impacted Thai soldiers and citizens, are they sufficient grounds to consider canceling the MOU2543? Mr. Anutin stated that there are ongoing efforts, but if they are not beneficial to Thailand and the Thai people, we are ready to adjust or modify our actions to maximize benefits for the country.

Regarding the announcement that the Bhumjaithai Party will double its size, implying an expectation of 150 seats or more, Mr. Anutin laughed and said, "I think more than that."

Furthermore, what are your expectations for this major rally? Mr. Anutin stated that, at every rally, we aim to communicate with our people, informing them of our intentions and policies, and building confidence that if the Bhumjaithai Party governs the country, we will be ready in terms of both policies and personnel and prepared to coordinate with all parties to avoid any setbacks.

Regarding the absence of discussions on anti-corruption policies at Bhumjaithai Party rallies, Mr. Anutin stated that, as he had said, if voters choose Bhumjaithai Party, the risk of corruption will be eliminated.

When asked what would be done if corruption occurred within the government, Mr. Anutin declined to answer, signaling that it was enough.

Furthermore, when asked if Bhumjaithai Party's emphasis on not creating enemies but building friendships meant they could connect with all sectors and political factions, Mr. Anutin replied, "I can shake hands with everyone if we are moving in the same direction, respecting each other, and accepting each other's policies. The Bhumjaithai Party is the only party that says it accepts the policies of all parties. If we believe that the policies are beneficial to the people, then the issue will arise whether or not we accept the casino policy. If it's a policy that clearly causes division, then we won't accept it."

Regarding the possibility of the Bhumjaithai Party leading the formation of a government, he did not elaborate further. Regarding the number of votes garnered in parliament, Mr. Anutin stated, "These matters will be answered in 48 hours, the day after tomorrow."

As for whether the Bhumjaithai Party will have any trump cards up its sleeve on 7 Feb, the final day of campaigning, Mr. Anutin said, "The matter will be finalized on 6 Feb. On 7 Feb, we will be touring Bangkok and surrounding areas to thank the public. I believe the public is aware of what we are presenting and the intentions of the Bhumjaithai Party."

When further asked about rumors that the Bhumjaithai Party had ordered the military to assist in this election, Mr. Anutin declined to answer and immediately walked away from the interview.
