Today (24 Feb), at 2:00 PM at the Palang Pracharath Party headquarters, Lt. Gen. Piya Tawichai, party spokesperson, and Mr. Yutthana Sritabutr announced the results of the party executive committee meeting to prepare for the 1st/2026 general assembly on March 7th, 2026, to conduct political activities following Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan's resignation on January 5th. According to party regulations, a new committee must be elected within 60 days, and the general assembly meeting is scheduled for March 7th to carry out party regulations.
Mr. Yutthana said that according to Article 17 (1) of the Palang Pracharath Party's resolution, the party leader, Ms. Treenuch Thianthong, has been assigned to act on behalf of the party's Executive Committee in conducting political activities as if it were a committee and making decisions regarding the formation of a coalition government with the coalition parties.

Before debating the specifics of the government formation, the Election Commission must officially confirm the election results. However, there have been previous negotiations, although not in depth, as former coalition partners with the Bhumjaithai Party. Nonetheless, we must await the official findings first. Mr. Yutthana declined to comment on cabinet seats or the party's political activity, stating that they must wait for the Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) to officially confirm the election results.
