“ECT” endorses 396 constituency MPs, Reporting set for tomorrow

Today (February 25, 2026), reporters acquired at the Election Commission office that the ECT had agreed to certify the results of the constituency-based parliamentary elections for all 396 constituencies, as suggested by the office. This conclusion is based on reports from election inspectors certifying that the elections were conducted fairly and honestly. This certification does not stop the ECT from examining any subsequent complaints or claims of fraud.

The elected representatives will be certified tomorrow (February 26, 2026) at 8:30 a.m. in Meeting Room 201, Building B, 2nd Floor, prior to reporting to the House of Representatives' Secretariat. The certification of proportionate representation representatives will be announced later.
