Trump also highlighted his policy achievements, particularly the crackdown on illegal immigrants and strict border security, which he cited as factors making the U.S. safer. In addition to these policies, the Trump administration has simultaneously moved to downsize the federal government, cut regulations, and restructure government agencies to increase efficiency.
Regarding economic policy, one of the issues the world is watching closely following a Supreme Court ruling that the collection of taxes under the IEEPA law was illegal, Trump mentioned the government's efforts to push for tariff measures to protect domestic industries. He stated that despite the Supreme Court’s decision to suspend retaliatory tariffs, his administration will continue to seek other legal avenues to pursue its customs tax policies.
On foreign policy, Trump spoke of U.S. capabilities against various threats faced over the past year, including cases involving Iran and Venezuela. Although he did not disclose operational details, Trump expressed confidence that the U.S. military is at peak readiness.
Furthermore, Trump stated that during his presidency, he has ended over eight wars worldwide, one of which he claimed was the “war between Thailand and Cambodia.”
This address is considered a major milestone for both U.S. and global politics. Many analysts believe this speech will create momentum for the midterm elections later this year and serves as an indicator of the direction of global politics, showing where the policies of a superpower led by Trump will take the world.
