Today (26 Feb) 11:00 am At the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters, Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Secretary-General of the Bhumjaithai Party, along with Mr. Songsak Thongsri, a party leader, and Ms. Nan Bunthida Somchai, the party spokesperson, welcomed Ms. Treenuch Thianthong, acting leader of the Palang Pracharath Party, and Ms. Rosarin Saranket, prospective MP from the New Opportunity Party, and held a press conference announcing their support for the Bhumjaithai Party.

Ms. Treenuch stated that the Palang Pracharath Party received an invitation from respected senior figures in the Bhumjaithai Party and that after discussions, the Palang Pracharath Party reached a joint decision. The Palang Pracharath Party will work in support of the Bhumjaithai Party, which is considered the party with the most public support. The party is particularly willing to support Bhumjaithai in its work, especially in focusing on policies concerning national security, the hardships, and the economic well-being of the people—urgent matters that the party is happy to support.

Ms. Rosarin stated that she was pleased to participate in the press conference at the Bhumjaithai Party and delighted that the Bhumjaithai Party honored the New Opportunity Party by allowing it to join the government. She added that they believe it's the same work, whether it's the Bhumjaithai Party or other coalition parties, to solve problems and care for the people and improve the economy. The New Opportunity Party supports Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul as Prime Minister, which is a party resolution and has been discussed with senior members of the Bhumjaithai Party by the party leader.

When asked if it could be confirmed that the Kla Tham Party and the Democrat Party would not be included, Ms. Nan replied that it wasn't the right time yet. Currently, the entire Bhumjaithai Party has reported to the government together. After that, there will be a party seminar, and further discussions will be held.

When asked if the party seminar would clarify which parties would be involved, Ms. Nan said to wait and see.

Regarding whether the 290+ votes were sufficient to form a government, Ms. Nan stated that normally in the House of Representatives, a majority is the key principle, and there's no fixed number required. In the past, we've had majorities of around 270 or even 250. Therefore, there's no single set number; we simply use the term "majority."

As for whether the smaller parties, totaling around 30 votes, would receive any ministerial quotas, Mr. Chaiyanok said to wait for the party leader's decision from the meeting.
