Today (4 March) 9:35 AM, at the Election Commission of Thailand (ECT), Mr. Mongkolkit Suksintharanon, the prospective leader of the Progressive Party, arrived with a group of veteran soldiers and former members of the New Alternative Party, carrying a donation box with bank account details and a QR code. Mr. Mongkolkit stated that they were registering the name of the Progressive Party and have currently gathered 15 member names, which are being verified on the 6th floor of ECT. He also mentioned that veteran soldiers who left the New Alternative Party have joined him in establishing the Progressive Party. Therefore, the Progressive Party will be a political party encompassing Gen Z to Baby Boomers, and the "Bangkok Flying Group" will also operate under theProgressive Party banner.

Mr. Mongkolkitt further stated that the meaning of the "Progressive Party" is that it must be cutting-edge, with a lifestyle based on artificial intelligence (AI). He affirmed that all of his previously presented policies will remain the same, such as the space policy, aiming to explore various planets. He believes that by the age of 55, they will have explored the entire solar system and the Milky Way and built space stations and communities on the moon and the sun. He also mentioned policies related to dinosaurs, developing a space army of Jedi warriors, and accumulating advanced weaponry like the United States. Other policies include the Thai Canal project along the 9A route, cosmetic surgery policies, a childbirth program, a push-up exercise program, and the 3,000 baht veteran's honor payment. He emphasized that these are all part of the Progressive Party's development plan. Regarding the veteran's honor payment, he stated that it is currently with the House of Representatives, on the desk of Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and the minister of interior, requiring a retirement letter for his signature. He warned that if the letter is not signed, he will be relentlessly criticized on all platforms.

Mr. Mongkolkitt also mentioned that after approval of the party name and logo, a meeting is usually required within 180 days, but they will hold it within 30 days as quickly as possible in case the election is declared invalid. If it's not invalidated, it won't last long. After this, we will be requesting donations from the public nationwide under the name Initial Fund for the Progressive Party. Currently, I, as the party leader, have already transferred 10,000 baht. The party needs at least 1.5 million baht because we need 300,000 baht for meetings and over 2 million baht to establish representatives in all 77 provinces. I confirm that this request for donations is legal.

Mr. Mongkolkitt added that yesterday's meeting (3 March) discussed and identified several potential candidates for the positions of deputy governor of Bangkok. The party is currently considering and deciding who to nominate for the Bangkok governor election. The party prioritizes young people, focusing on those in their 30s to late 30s, as they want individuals with modern ideas who dare to think outside the box and are ready to transform Bangkok in a 360-degree way. Anyone interested in running for election under the party's banner can contact us via the party's LINE ID. We are opening opportunities for young, visionary individuals to participate in the development of Bangkok.

Mr. Mongkolkitt also mentioned the tense situation and potential conflict between the United States and Iran, which could affect global oil shipments. Because most oil shipments pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and Thailand imports approximately 50% of its total oil through this route, there are concerns that a prolonged situation could lead to an energy crisis. One proposal suggests that Mr. Anutin should push for oil drilling in the Gulf of Thailand to create its own energy sources and reduce reliance on imports. It's estimated that if this were implemented, there would be enough oil for domestic use for about four years, eliminating the need to share profits with Mr. Hun Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia. This approach is seen asa temporary solution for the next 2-3 years.

Mr. Mongkolkitt further reiterated a proposal to cease all oil exports to conserve domestic supply for a longer period, despite potential loss of export revenue. However, he believes the conflict between the United States and Iran is unlikely to be prolonged, as the US has energy interests in the region, and ultimately, many countries may have to purchase oil from the US instead. Meanwhile, if the situation persists, there should be a push to convert all vehicles, including cars and motorcycles, to electric systems, as well as developing electric flying cars. The estimated retail price is around 5 million baht per vehicle, but domestic production could reduce the cost to approximately 2 million baht per vehicle.
