Today (18 March) 3:20 PM at the Parliament, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul gave an interview after a "political defector" from the People's Party voted to support him as prime minister. He stated that he did not know why they would vote for him as prime minister. He truly did not know. He thanked all the voters, both those who voted for him and those who did not. Regardless, he emphasized that they are working together for the people.
When asked how he felt about his first day as Prime Minister, Mr. Anutin replied, "Not yet, waiting for royal endorsement."
When asked again when he would discuss policies with the Pheu Thai Party, Mr. Anutin said, "We are in contact all the time."
When pressed further on how he felt about being prime minister, Mr. Anutin immediately retorted, "Not yet, waiting for the process."
