Today (March 24, 2026) Mr. Julaphan Amornvivat, list-MP and leader of Pheu Thai Party, indicated in an interview that the seminar for Pheu Thai MPs was the normal party procedure prior to parliamentary session. He remarked that, with many new MPs in attendance, the seminar included parliamentary staff training on motion submission, questioning, debating and information on rights, benefits and welfare.

Julaphan stated that, Pheu Thai party will carry out its legislative obligations to the best and work carefully to monitor the government’s work and advocate for beneficial policies including altering laws that benefit Thai people. He mentioned that more than 10 measures have already been submitted to parliament, as well as another 47 are presently being considered. Tomorrow, (March 25, 2026) 2nd ordinary session of the House of Representatives. Julaphan remarked that Pheu Thai is prepared to offer motions and for now MPs began preparing for the debate including informal conversations about the resolution proposed by each political party. Further, the motion will address a wide variety of concerns not only about the energy crisis, but also the impact of the Middle East crisis in which energy allocation is a big issue. While there is enough oil, it cannot be simply and totally delivered to people. He also said that consumer items are becoming more expensive as energy and transportation expenses rise. This is an important aspect that both the opposition and the administration must address by communicating these concerns to the government so that it can resolve the problem for the public.

Additionally, Julaphan declined to disclose cabinet posts as it was not on the agenda for today’s seminar. Today’s meeting was simply a guide on parliament procedures. “All members maintain unity and harmony. The Pheu Thai Party maintains that no members hold suspicions or break away from the picture. Everyone is eager to move, regardless of how the party allocates positions, since every member realizes there are still chances ahead. We focus primarily on the benefits that the party can serve as a coalition government.” Julaphan stated.
