Today (29 April 2026), 9:25 AM at Government House, Mr. Paradorn Prisanantakul, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office, gave an interview to the media before the meeting of the National Energy Policy Committee (NEPC). He stated that the Economic Cabinet, established by order of the Prime Minister, had informed the Cabinet yesterday (28 April 2026) that its first meeting would be held on 4 May 2026. This meeting will discuss the "Thai Help Thai Plus Project" and various economic policies to assist the public during this crisis. Other projects will also be included, such as energy transformation. "We expect there to be considerable discussion," Mr. Paradorn said. "The upcoming meeting should reach a conclusion on the economic stimulus measures in various projects, including how much the government should contribute and how much the public should contribute. It's already early May, and the target is early June for people to receive the benefits, with a one-month registration period. The exact budget allocation will be discussed at the meeting."
