Today (29 April 2026), 9:25 AM at Government House, Mr. Paradorn Prisanantakul, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office and a leading figure in the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed the dissatisfaction within the party following the release of a list of 14 committee chairpersons, which led to some MPs leaving the party's LINE group. He stated that the list was merely a rumor and that the official list is expected in about a week. The party's executive committee will then convene again and expedite the appointment of the standing committees.
When asked about the rumor that one of the expected committee chairpersons was missing from the list, causing dissatisfaction and leading to the MPs leaving the LINE group, Mr. Paradorn suggested that perhaps the LINE app was malfunctioning.
When asked further about how the party would compensate those who did not receive positions, Mr. Paradorn said that there weren't many positions available, and while many people desired to serve in various roles, there were far more capable individuals within the party. Therefore, it was impossible to give positions to everyone. The party would manage the allocation of positions to its members as fairly as possible.
When asked again whether this would cause minor rifts within the party, Mr. Paradorn replied, "Probably not. We discuss internal matters within the party."
