Today (6 May 2026), 10:50 AM at the IMPACT Forum, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul was interviewed regarding Cambodia's acceptance of the UNCLOS agreement and whether this is a positive development for Thailand. He stated that at least it puts both Thailand and Cambodia on the same page. Previously, they used different criteria. Therefore, since the MOU 2001 no longer exists, any future discussions will require establishing a framework and rules. There is still time for further discussions, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for this matter.
