Today (27 October 2026) at 12:05 PM at Government House, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, gave an interview regarding the scheduled dates and timeframe for the no-confidence debate. He disclosed that he had received an official letter today from Mr. Sophon Saram, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and had already brought the matter up for discussion in the Cabinet meeting. The Cabinet subsequently responded that they are convenient and ready to attend starting from December 6 onwards.
Regarding the overall timeframe for the debate and how many days it will take, the Prime Minister stated that the joint coordination committees (whips) must discuss and determine the matter together.

As for the possibility of the opposition setting a condition requesting 5 days as before, the Prime Minister reiterated that it is the duty of the whips to come to an agreement. However, based on previous discussions before the agreement fell through, the opposition indicated they wanted 5 days specifically for this week, while 4 days for the remaining weeks would pose no issue. In reality, today we should have already been in Parliament listening to the debate, but since the opposition did not agree, the government must find a suitable date to ensure all ministers are free from pending duties.
Furthermore, when reporters asked whether the Prime Minister preferred a 4-day debate as previously stated by the opposition, the Prime Minister briefly replied, “I am fine with anything.”
