Today (2 November 2026) at 10:00 AM at Parliament, Mr. Nattapong Ruengpanyawut, Party-list MP and Leader of the People's Party, in his capacity as Leader of the Opposition in the House of Representatives, gave an interview regarding the Supreme Court scheduling the first witness hearing in the case of the 44 MPs on November 3. He stated that he is not scheduled to appear tomorrow, while reassuring that the legal team is fully prepared and consistently asserting their innocence on all platforms, emphasizing that exercising duties as members of the legislative branch to amend laws should not lead to prosecution, which clearly reflects a process of legal warfare aimed at destroying political opponents.
Regarding observations and concerns over the court consolidating hearing dates from multiple sessions down to just four, Mr. Nattapong stated that he has no worries whatsoever. Based on discussions with the legal team, it is understood that the court deemed the initial witness list submitted to contain redundancies and thus adjusted it appropriately, reaffirming that there are no additional issues of concern.
