On 5 November 2026 at the Veterans General Hospital, Lt. Gen. Adul Bunthamcharoen, Minister of Defence, addressed remarks made by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, during the opening ceremony for the 69th National Defence College (NDC) course. The Prime Minister had noted that the government is subject to both internal and external oversight, and that no one will be permitted to exploit the system for personal gain. When asked whether the armed forces had received specific directives regarding budget management, Lt. Gen. Adul stated that he is confident in the military’s adherence to facts and the transparency of its procurement processes. He stressed that because the military works for the people, it deserves encouragement rather than being alienated from the government or the public. He cautioned against creating division, noting that the military as a security institution serves as a pillar of the nation. He urged the public to focus on facts when consuming media, warning that we are currently in an era of “information warfare.” He encouraged everyone to exercise sound judgment, reiterating that the government, the military, and the people are united as one.

When asked whether the country currently enjoys stability, free from factionalism, Lt. Gen. Adul affirmed his belief that this is the case, based on his direct interactions with the commanders of the various armed forces. Having had the opportunity to work closely with the Prime Minister, he noted that all sides are now united as a solid, cohesive force that represents the true strength of the nation.
