On 1st October 2025, at 10:37 AM at the Parliament building, Mr. Phattarapong Supakson, also known as “Lawyer Aun” from Buriram, submitted a petition to representatives of the Pheu Thai Party MPs, requesting action under Section 82, Paragraph 1 of the Constitution regarding alleged ethical misconduct by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.

MPs Cherdchai Tantisin, Phumipat Phatcharasap, and Sanga Prommuang received the petition on behalf of the Pheu Thai Party, and committed to bringing Lawyer Un’s request forward for consideration during the party's internal meeting.

Lawyer Un is urging the Pheu Thai MPs to invoke Section 82, Paragraph 1 of the Constitution, which requires the support of at least 50 MPs, or one-tenth of the House, to petition the Constitutional Court to examine the qualifications of Prime Minister Anutin. Lawyer Un claims the Prime Minister, who was recently graciously granted approval by his majesty the king and presented policies to Parliament over the past two days, has committed serious ethical violations and lacks evident integrity.

Lawyer Aun raised the following concerns about PM Anutin's conduct:

Relocation of Land Title to Buriram: Allegedly involving state land in the Khao Kradong area, known by the public to be state-owned or belonging to the State Railway of Thailand, with court rulings backing this.

2. Involvement in Senate Vote Manipulation: Allegedly linked to a scheme to manipulate the selection of senators, currently under investigation by the Election Commission and the Department of Special Investigation (DSI).

3. Controversial Ministerial Appointment: Appointment of a Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives widely believed to have ethical disqualifications under the moral conduct standards.

4. Misuse of Public Property: Allegedly used a public road in Khanong Phra Subdistrict, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, as a runway during his tenure as Minister of the Interior.

Lawyer Aun stated that this petition for reviewing PM Anutin’s qualifications would serve as a test for the Constitutional Court’s standards, an independent institution whose rulings are binding on all. He referenced past cases in which two former Prime Ministers were disqualified, and expressed hope that the Pheu Thai Party would pursue the matter for the public good.

MP Cherdchai, representing the party in receiving the petition, said the matter would be reviewed at the next party meeting. If deemed appropriate, the party would gather the names of 50 MPs and submit the petition to the Constitutional Court without delay.

MP Cherdchai concluded that Lawyer Aun's submission was significant, noting that the allegations against PM Anutin have been widely discussed during the recent policy debates in Parliament. He added that addressing the issue would help resolve public concerns and strengthen both domestic and international confidence in Thailand’s governance.
