Today (3 Feb) 9:55 AM at Government House, Mr. Attakorn Sirilatthayakon, Minister of Tourism and Sports and candidate for Member of Parliament in Chachoengsao Constituency 2 for the Kla Tham Party, gave an interview regarding the current popularity of the Kla Tham Party. He stated that the party has always been clear from the beginning, focusing on solving problems for farmers. He reiterated that what Captain Thamanat Promphao, the Kla Tham Party's prime ministerial candidate, has consistently done and said is that they don't spend much time in air-conditioned rooms. Instead, they travel to the field to listen to problems, solve them collaboratively with the people and local administrative organizations, and work on their assigned tasks according to the problems they encounter. This has been their approach throughout.

"During our campaign, the Kla Tham Party can confidently say that we focus more on action than words. While Mr. Thammanat or I might be exceptions—we do a lot and talk a lot—we have confidence in our sincerity in working and solving problems, which has been evident on many occasions," said Mr. Atthakorn.

Mr. Atthakorn added that during the campaign, particularly at the large rally held in Chachoengsao province last Friday, he highlighted the clearest reasons why they are confident of receiving the trust of the people nationwide. For example, in Hat Yai, Captain Thammanat went down to the community to solve problems and assist with relocation. Regarding the campaign atmosphere, especially in his own constituency, he assured the villagers that the opportunities he received from the people in his five districts over the past 15 years remain the same as the opportunities he received 15 years ago.

Mr. Atthakorn further stated that their participation isn't limited to election periods; they regularly attend events as well. He emphasized their organic campaigning approach, focusing on meeting and conversing with voters to assure them of their ability to work effectively, leveraging their experience and the support of a political party capable of addressing local issues in Chachoengsao province, particularly improving quality of life and agricultural practices. He affirmed that while the Kla Tham Party's policies may not be flashy, they are achievable, having already implemented many aspects and demonstrating a willingness to push forward for even greater results.

When asked if the announcement of several parties refusing to cooperate with the Kla Tham Party was discouraging, Mr. Atthakorn replied that within Captain Thamanat's political group, there have been changes in national leadership since 2019, and the party has always been a part of it. Those in power recognize their political potential and their hands-on approach to work. Ultimately, everything will become clear on February 8th, but anything can happen in politics. The Kla Tham Party is ready to collaborate with any party that recognizes their potential to benefit the country, provided that they do not touch upon Chapters 1 and 2 of the Constitution or anything that could undermine the monarchy.

Regarding which party will lead the government and whether he is confident that the Kla Tham Party will be a key factor in joining the coalition, Mr. Atthakorn said, "We are confident in our capabilities and believe that we have always been able to work well as a coalition partner."

Furthermore, regarding the target of 70 seats set by Captain Thamanat, what is the current outlook? Mr. Atthakorn said, "The latest discussions still show that figure, very close to it. This is an assessment by senior party members. While I am responsible for my own constituencies, I am confident that we can achieve it."
