(SAP News - Teeravoot Sion) 18th September 2025, French Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron submitted scientific evidence to the US court, proving that Brigitte was not a man after the US right-wing influencer Candase Owen is using defamatory attacks against them accused of being a transgender woman.

Macrons filed the suit in July against Owen, alleging continuous defamation against them in order to boost her platform to gain audiences and make money.

Owen said, last year, she staked her platform’s reputation to find the fact that Brigitte is in fact a man named “Jean-Michel Trogneux” has since spread misinformation, including eight-parts of podcast.

Macron’s lawyer, Tom Clair, said to BBC that Brigitte Macron had found the claims “incredibly upsetting” and they were a “distraction” for the French president.

The suit submitted by Macrons detailed that “Jean-Michel Trogneux” is Brigitte’s older brother, living in Amien, North part of France. He grew up with Brigitte along with four siblings. Trongeux also attended the presidential inauguration in 2017 and 2022.
