Mr.Anutin Charnvirakul affectionately known as "PM Nu" in his capacity as Prime Minister and Minister of Interior is accelerating the disbursement of over 10 billion baht in flood relief funds. Following the Cabinet’s approval of a 10,508-million-baht budget, he emphasized that there is no need to wait for floodwaters to recede or for data collection to be completed across an entire province. As soon as an applicant passes the eligibility verification process, the funds will be transferred immediately. So far, the aid has already reached over 700,000 households.

"PM Nu" clarified that the disbursement process will operate on a rolling basis; there is no need to wait for the overall situation to fully normalize, as was the practice in the past. However, registration does not guarantee an immediate payout; every claim must undergo a damage assessment, checks against duplicate entries, and a formal eligibility review. For instance, in cases where multiple houses are located on the same plot of land, the situation will be evaluated against specific criteria to determine eligibility, ensuring that relief reaches those truly in need in a fair and equitable manner.

As for the residents of Hat Yai who are concerned about heavy rainfall (with precipitation reaching 100 millimeters) and fear a repeat of past major floods "PM Nu" confirmed that the government has ordered comprehensive preventive measures. When asked if he could guarantee that flooding would not occur as it did in the past, "PM Nu" reiterated his previous stance: all possible preparations are in place to handle the situation! "SAPM News sends our encouragement to all those affected. May this situation resolve as quickly as possible"
