Today (3 November 2026) at 12:40 PM at the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), Mr. Phutt Abhiwan, a well-known news anchor, met with investigative officers to provide testimony as a witness regarding his monetary donations to the Good Deeds Organization Foundation, founded by Ms. Panadda Wongphudee. Speaking after the meeting, he disclosed that he had made about 5 separate transfers totaling around 800,000 baht since 2025, with each transfer ranging between 100,000 to 200,000 baht, intended to support public relief efforts announced by Boom Panadda across various media, such as flood relief and assistance along the border areas.
Mr. Phutt emphasized that his presence was strictly as a witness and not to file charges or seek damages as a victim. Regarding whether the donated funds were used according to their stated purposes, he admitted he did not know the details, but had trusted her because he saw Boom Panadda working directly on the ground. Consequently, he never rechecked with the foundation, believing that most donors would never expect such an outcome or imagine things would reach this point.

Addressing reports that the financial trail might link to land purchases, pool villa construction, or building a shrine worth over 10 million baht, Mr. Phutt suggested that police compare donation totals during the transition period of 2025–2026 against the foundation’s financial flows to examine their correlation. He admitted that as a donor, he naturally feels uncomfortable if money intended for public aid ended up funding pool villas, land purchases, or shrines.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nitithorn Kaewto, or “Lawyer James,” added that this is a public offense case. Once a complaint is filed, investigators must interview affected parties and collect evidence. Mr. Phutt’s testimony serves to confirm the facts regarding public appeals seen in the media and actual money transfers to be included in the case file.

Expressing his personal views, Mr. Phutt stated that the situation was entirely unexpected. While he believes Boom Panadda maintains her innocence, as a news presenter who reviewed transaction slips and bank statements, he acknowledged irregularities and unusual transfers to individuals close to her, raising several questions. As for Boom Panadda’s intention to use personal funds to reimburse the foundation, he viewed it as her private matter, noting that legally, if the matter reaches the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO), asset seizure procedures would take effect.
Mr. Phutt added that he seeks clarity and transparency from the police investigation—not just for himself, but for society, which expects full financial accountability from all foundations. He believes this case should serve as a starting point for all foundations to clearly disclose their income and expenditure totals. Regarding future donations, he noted that this experience would not affect his willingness to give, as he considers his contribution an act of merit already completed, adding that whoever committed wrong must face their karma.

On the topic of tax deductions, Mr. Phutt confirmed he never used these donations for tax relief, as they were made out of personal intent, and he only learned later that such donations were ineligible for tax deductions.
Recalling how it began, Mr. Phutt shared that he first saw donation calls online and, having known Boom Panadda previously, trusted her good intentions and transferred funds directly without prior discussion about the amounts. They only spoke after the issue escalated, though Boom Panadda had previously called him to share personal life difficulties before it became major news.
Concluding the interview, Mr. Phutt stated that his testimony to the investigators was complete, adding at the end regarding donations to other foundations that he had previously given testimony to the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) as well.
