Today (March 27, 2026) at 11:00 a.m.,   Mr. Mongkolkitt Suksintharanon submitted a letter to the Government Complaints Center requesting that Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul consent to political responsibility and consider resigning due to a lack of qualifications and ethical standards in accordance with Section 160 (4) (5), which states that ministers must be honest and not commit serious breaches of ethics. He stated that the Middle East issue has impacted the world's main crude oil transportation system, as well as Thailand's oil system, resulting in a 6-baht spike in oil prices.

"Thailand's crude oil transit does not have to pass via the Strait of Hormuz. Since March 1st, the transportation route has been modified to pass through the Red Sea and the Bab El Mandeb Strait. Thailand has no problem with oil transportation, but the most urgent issue is that the country's citizens are playing games with one another. 65 million people are suffering, with the exception of cabinet ministers, MPs, and senators from the administration, who are wealthy and can afford electric cars.” "This is cheating the people. If the government can't do anything, then why do we need a Prime Minister? Civil servants and farmers can't survive."

Then will the government have the legitimacy to continue governing the country?"   Mongkolkitt stated.

Mr. Mongkolkitt stated that PM Anutin's sense will determine his departure. He must recognize that Anutin has already achieved his peak of power, which occurred on election day. If he resigns now, it is still feasible. However, if he resigns later, Anutin will be unable to resign at all. He highlighted the example of Nepal's Prime Minister, saying, "And you would not be able to stay in Thailand. Your family and clan will be unable to stay. If you listen to me today, you will suffer less. Resigning early will benefit both the Prime Minister and his family. But if you leave too late and provoke public hostility, I'm not sure what will happen., PM Anutin knows best because he has reached the highest point of his life by becoming Prime Minister for the second time and has already gained royal approbation. That is all there is to it." He further stated.

When asked about the government's declaration that it had done its best subject to Cabinet constraints, Mr. Mongkolkitt responded, "What kind of 'doing its best' has resulted in this? The people are struggling. The 2017 Constitution does not provide for a caretaker cabinet instead, a Prime Minister serves until a new Prime Minister is nominated. Do not use the excuse of a caretaker cabinet. Even the most experienced legal staff has already quit.

"When asked if it would be difficult for PM Anutin to quit, Mr. Mongkolkitt responded, "It's not difficult." I feel that simply signing a resignation letter will not allow Mr. Anutin to remain in power. If he resigns while the public still likes him, he can remain in Thailand. However, if he resigns when the public no longer supports him, he will be limited to Buriram province and will be unable to remain in other provinces. If he stays too long, he will eventually lose authority. When asked who would be appropriate to replace him, He stated that there are many people who can fix these problems and enhance people's livelihoods, who have demonstrated honesty and integrity, who are extremely capable they simply haven't been given the opportunity.
