Breaking! Thaksin Released Leaves Klong Prem Prison and Returns to Baan Chan Song La

Today (11 May 2026), 7:39 AM at Klong Prem Central Prison in Bangkok, reporters observed a lively atmosphere as former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra was released and made his first public appearance since leaving custody. He was greeted by his family, Pheu Thai Party leaders, and a large group of supporters.

Mr. Thaksin, dressed in casual attire and smiling, greeted and waved to supporters who called his name and embraced his daughter and grandchildren in a warm atmosphere.

Afterward, Mr. Thaksin boarded a private car, license plate PT 4444 Bangkok, and traveled back to Baan Chan Song La to begin his probation process as per the law until his sentence is fully completed. Meanwhile, police and corrections officers have deployed a strong security presence along the entire route.
