“Thaksin” Jokes with Media “I have Alzheimer's, I can't remember” after being asked if he remembered them

Today (11 May 2026), 8:40 AM at the Bangkok Noi District Probation Office, Bangkok, former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, along with former Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and his lawyer, Winyat Chatmontri, arrived to report to the Bangkok Noi District Probation Office.

Immediately upon Mr. Thaksin's arrival, Ms. Paetongtarn helped him up to the office on the second floor, where they spent about 10 minutes processing the documents.

Mr. Thaksin descended after completing the paperwork. Before smiling and waving to the reporters, Mr. Thaksin was asked if he remembered them, recalling how reporters had run after the car to see him off at the prison gate when he first entered. Mr. Thaksin replied, "I don't remember anything anymore. I've got Alzheimer's." Thereafter, Mr. Thaksin and Ms. Paetongtarn got into the car and traveled to their residence, Baan Chan Song La.
